Ayurveda, the science of life, for cure and prevention of disease longevity is the oldest and most holistic medical system and that had been practiced for more than 5,000 years, and is considered as the Upaveda of Atharva Veda. The eight branches of Ayurveda are Kaya, Bala, Graha, Urdhvanga, Salya, Damstra, Jara and Vrsa.In Ayurvedic pharmacology, kalpavijnana (pharmacy) is a well advanced branch and wide range of formulations are mentioned in different literatures of Ayurveda.
Ayurvedic formulations are classified into two groups as Kasthousadhi (predominantly plant drugs are used) and Rasausadhi (predominantly metals and minerals are used). The Medicines are manufactured from Audbhida (Plant), Jangama (Animal Products) and Parthiva (Metal & Minerals). While mentioning the treatment aspect Ayurveda describes the physician, the drug, the attendant and the patient as the four limbs of treatment and the drug plays a leading role after the physician. Acharya Caraka further enumerates the necessary qualification of drugs as Applicability, Quality, Endowed with virtues and Utility. We are manufacturing about 300 Ayurvedic products .we are very much concerned about the quality and efficacy of formulations.
Who We Are
The Company Trichy Ayurveidc Union private limited was started with eminent Traditional ayurvedic practing physician and those days they were called as vaithiya shasthri . Our union of doctors V.B. Nataraja shastri, V.R.Subramaniya iyer, , P.S. Ramasharma , A.Ragava Rao, P.viswanathan, R.V Raman and T.S.Eswaran in Kaveri Detla region they were practising and running charity clinic in their respective places by name Trichy Ayurvedic Union (P) ltd., since 1939 by the blessings of Kanchi Kamakodi Mutt .............., a spiritual human devotee . The union started it’s service by offering consultations to the needy persons with Ayurvedic Medicines and for the need of quality medicines as a backward integration, the Trichy Ayurvedic union P.ltd., our technical consultant S.V.Radhakrishna shasthiri and Physician N.Vaithiyanathan provide time to time consultation and innovative idea to develop new formulations.
Since the demand and the need for quality medicines scaled up and also as per the vision of our Managing Director S.Sudarsini the infrastructures were improvised with a project cost of IR 1 crores, manufacturing The Ayurvedic classical products such as Choorna, Thaila, Avalehya, Vati, Gutika, Guggulu, Kashayam, Bhasma, Arishtam & Asavam and proprietary products were manufactured Capsules, Syrups, Ointments, etc. The Installed production capacity is 1000 tons per annum and the total work force of 120 Nos working down line under our Executive Director Mrs. Dr.Seugandanee who is guiding and motivating the staff to their excellence.
The TAUPL factory is endorsed with Good Manufacturing Practices Certification (GMP) right from its initial stage of production to end product . The Medicines were prepared in clean environment by adopting plant quality , personal care which paves the way for product Quality . All GMP guidelines such as Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Manufacturing Records, In process controls, In house standards are stringently followed which ensures the safety and efficacy of the ayurvedic medicines . Team of Botanist , Chemist, Pharmacist, microbilogist and B.A.M.S., stands for the quality of raw materials to finished product.
